LIVINGarrangements 2012 poses an open question for who people are (or think they are) in our society and how they live in the present. The term opens discussion to political innuendo, cultural differences, social issues, and importantly, design and style.
For our first intstallment of LIVINGarrangements spring's curator Anna Cosentino invited international photographers for their interpretation of the title of the exhibition with no set assignment or medium in mind. Selected works included projects as diverse as Pablo Gallego-Picard’s Architectural essay Aldea terramota which reviews the relationship between house and owner, builder and construction and recreates a new landscape, a composite of ‘ugly architecture’; Erica Shires’ intimate portraits of living moments; Sarah Lynch’s fragile Suspended Realities still life; and Paul Meleschnig’s silver gelatin prints reflections of city living. link to slideshow
